I am no electrician to be sure, but the ease to setting up and installing this system to a deep cycle battery is far easier than I anticipated. You will have no trouble at all. One thing that I want to mention concerns the controller box. There is a small transparent door that flips up over top of the screw connectors. I didn't notice it at first as it is quite subtle, but there are tiny pictures on that door. One pic of solar panel, one pic of battery and one pic of lightbulb. These pics are there so you can easily identify which connector to hook each wire to. Simple!
Oh and by the way once I set them out in the sun the battery started charging quite quickly. The solar panels are extremely solid and I would buy again without hesitation.
